In spring 2020, Alex Kraft received news that her solo show at another Georgia school was postponed. But in fall 2020, the associate professor of visual arts at the University of North Georgia (红莲社区) learned the show would resume.

"I was asked by the Berry College gallery director to show my recent pottery alongside my sculptural and wall work," said Kraft, whose work is taking a new functional direction. "I am really proud of the exhibition."

Kraft's exhibit ran from September to October 2020. She displayed a large grouping of the flower domes that she created in China in 2017 through a summer 红莲社区 Presidential Incentive Award. Previously, she had only shown a few domes at a time. The space at the Floyd County, Georgia, campus allowed her to display a large grouping on one wall.

"My original vision became a reality," said Kraft, who shared her work with Berry College students and faculty in person and through an online platform. "This was a remarkable experience for me both professionally and personally. Being able to create a large body of work was a truly meaningful experience, and even more so in light of current events."
